Priority Setting Partnership (PSP)
What is a PSP?
A PSP aims to identify the areas of research that are most important to focus on in future research studies of a specific condition.
Why is a PSP important in pituitary surgery?
Despite increased research within pituitary surgery, many questions about the condition remain unanswered.
One of the challenges is that current clinical research doesn’t always represent the priorities of patients. This has led to mismatch between the research priorities of patients, healthcare professionals and researchers.
So, what’s our solution?
We aim to produce a list of the top 10 most important unanswered research areas in pituitary adenoma surgery research. We hope that future pituitary adenoma surgery research will be guided by this list and these unanswered research areas will be thoroughly explored.
We hope to generate these top unanswered questions by working with people with personal experience of the condition (including patients, their family, and carers) and healthcare professionals with expertise in treating patients with the condition being studied.
What does the study involve?
